Bays Mountain Park: Towers, Trails, and a Splash!

Hi friends! It’s Amber, your favorite trail explorer 🐾

Mama and I hiked all over Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, TN this October, and whew—my paws were busy! We followed gravel roads, climbed ridges, and sniffed through crunchy leaves in every color. I spotted squirrels, chipmunks, and even a deer (don’t worry, I stayed polite).

The best part? Two lookout towers! One was tall and twisty—Mama called it the “Ant-Tennies”—and the other she called a “Fiery Tower” with a view that made me feel like a mountain queen. I was brave and climbed both (well, not all the way up on the Fiery Tower—I don’t like fire!) even though my legs are short and my tail was wagging like crazy.

After all that exploring, I cooled off with a splashy swim and then got scooped up for snuggles and snacks. We headed home to check on my brother Dexter, but I’m already dreaming of my next trail.

If you’re looking for fall hikes with views, towers, and pup-friendly fun, Bays Mountain is a tail-wagging winner!
